Hippopo Spa and Wellness Setia City Mall

The very first time I heard about this Spa is from a dear friend,and I got excited and wanted to take my baby for it. I started doing some small research and read reviews about this Spa and got more excited.
However, I did not book an appointment cos at that time my baby's weight were still below the recommended weight which is 4.5kg and above.

The soon I knew my lil girl's weight past beyond the recommended weight... I was looking for the Hippopo website again to book an appointment and lucky me; I came across the promotion rate where one complete session (swim & massage) was only RM 68 (standard price =RM 88). No time was wasted as I booked a slot immediately.... You are required to book in advance for every session. Two days before prior to weekday appointments and two weeks before for weekend appointments.

I was slightly worried if my baby would cry and wouldn't like this service and was feeling anxious about the whole thing.
As we arrive at the Hippopo Spa & Wellness outlet at Setia City Mall.. i was glad to see no one there except the person in-charged named Ana. (A feeling of happiness striked me that the whole spa was all ours). Ana welcomed us and gave us instructions on where to place our stroller, slippers and bags. She then explained clearly on the details of the session and got us to pay for the service beforehand. Once all formalities were done..it was time for the baby to start her Spa session.

This is a bigger pool for kids 6 months and above. 2 babies can be in at one time.

Nursing room. You are expected to feed baby half an hour prior to the session. And of course baby gets hungry after the session.

Firstly Ana the physiotherapist exercised with the baby. She was chirpy and making cute noises attracting the kid's attention while moving her arms and legs. Suprisingly my girl was animated and obediently followed all of Ana's movements.

After a few minutes, it was then the highlight session which is the Swimming session. Baby's clothing and pampers was all removed and replaced with only a swimming diapers which was not suppose to leak any urine or poopoo. The swim pampers is given as it has already been included in the charges. The pampers was also for sale in packets if you want to buy them for any water activity for baby.

My daughter loved the warm water pool and she was super relaxed in it.. although babies are expected to kick and play...my girl was pretty chill floating away..
After a few minutes in still water.. the staff changed it to jacuzzi mode and then few minutes later to bubbles mode... it was fun to watch as the same time i believe the kid had a fun time too.

A good 20 minutes in the pool after the jacuzzi and bu ble treatment... it was time for final massage session.
You get an option to choose if you want lavender scented oil for the maasage for rm5 extra. Being a lavender fan.. we took that as well. My daughter was sleeping soundly while her physio massaging her.

That was pretty much the end of the whole spa session. Baby gets dressed again and of course nursing time right before we leave the spa to come back again in 2 weeks time. 

We were happy parents when we see our baby sleeps soundly after the session. 

Im not going to write in details about the Spa center as you can find those infos all over the internet of just call them up. 

My only advice is, if you are interested.. start early.. the moment the kid reaches the recommended weight take them in.. let them swim.. it is definitely beneficial for the baby in terms of muscle development, bone strengthening and to have long undisturbed sleep.
